DOT Celebrates Earth Day with Pearl Harbor
April 22, 2010
As the world celebrated Earth Day on April 22, the DOT Storm Water Management
Program took part in the Earth Day Expo hosted by the Navy Exchange at Pearl Harbor.
With informational display boards, goodie bags for keiki and giveaways, volunteers from
the DOT Storm Water Management Program had the honor of interacting with our
military members and their families.
The Storm Water Management program team reached out to concerned retired and
active duty members, explaining the importance of keeping our storm water drains clean in order to protect our ocean and reefs. Children were thrilled with their goodie bags, filled with educational activities, along with pens, pencils and stickers for them to put in their favorite places.
The DOT Storm Water Management Program would like to express their gratitude to our
men and women serving in our armed forces in our state and all over the world.
