Spreading the Holiday Cheer with Malama
December 10, 2011

Malama donned his Santa hat and headed out with the Storm Water team to Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii’s 25th annual Breakfast With Santa. The event took place at the Japanese Cultural Center’s Manoa Grand Ballroom. The two-part event featured a sit down breakfast in the morning where kids and families enjoyed live entertainment, free games and crafts. The afternoon session included a luncheon with similar activities.

The Storm Water team set up a festive booth right outside the ballroom where hundreds of attendees stopped by throughout the day to write their wish list to Santa. Malama took the liberty of listing “Clean oceans” as the number one wish. Kids also stood in line to dress up as Malama at the holiday photo booth. Educational display boards and the storm water model were also on-hand for families to learn more about storm water pollution.
