Storm Water joins in on the fun at Kids’ Day

The kids came out to play at Kahala Mall’s Kids’ Day on Saturday, July 16th and the Storm Water Hawaii team was there to participate in the fun! The free, one-day event drew hundreds of mall-goers, many of them keiki who eagerly wandered through the mall checking out the various booth displays and activities.
The event’s theme, Explore, Play and Learn!, provided an educational yet playful atmosphere. Featured organizations included NOAA, Lego Enthusiasts of Hawaii, Keiki ID, and Sea Life Park.
At the Storm Water booth, families lined up for a chance to put on Malama costumes and take a photo as Storm Water’s very own mascot! Parents who took our important storm water survey received a complimentary Storm Water Hawaii tote bag. Information from the survey helps our team better understand residents’ knowledge and awareness of storm water pollution.
