SWMP and Ruby Tuesday Hawaii educate Windward residents
November 5, 2011

The Storm Water Team set out for a day on the Windward side of Oahu to educate residents about storm water pollution. Once again we partnered up with Ruby Tuesday Hawaii to organize another event for keiki and their families.

Windward visitors learned first hand how storm water pollution affects the environment through a fun exhibit fronting the Ruby Tuesday restaurant inside Windward Mall. Families entered the booth by checking out the interactive storm water model. After walking through various educational displays, families approached the photo booth where they dressed as Malama the fish for a souvenir photo.

The Storm Water Team also provided information to homeowners and adults about what they can do around their homes to make it more storm water friendly. Parents were also asked to fill out a public awareness survey to receive a $10 Ruby Tuesday gift card as a token of our appreciation.
