We are delighted to announce AAH-033, Charlie Company, 715th Military Intelligence Battalion as Oahu District’s Second Quarter 2022 Adopt-A-Highway Champion. Even amid the pandemic, they have remained constant in their commitment to keeping our highways trash free. Their efforts over the past two years have been crucial to helping us achieve our mission of keeping our storm drains and oceans clean.
The command team began participating in DOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program in 2020 to clear a busy section of Kunia Road.
“Community service has always been important to Charlie Company, 715th MI Battalion – especially when it comes to the beautification of this state we are so blessed to call home,” said Charles Stone, Charlie Company’s AAH Chairperson. “Our “Foo Dog” ‘Ohana places a special emphasis on giving back to the community as its generous support means the world to our soldiers and their families. Many of them, and certainly many of you, drive this stretch of road regularly and we take pride in ensuring it looks as clean and beautiful as possible!”
Charlie Company understands firsthand the importance of community. They are reciprocating the aloha shown to their soldiers and families by ensuring that our land remains beautiful. They hope their efforts and commitment inspire others to get out and support their communities too!
