Sustainability initiatives have taken over the globe. With recent climate emergency notices and advocates, our society has started to brand awareness for an eco-friendly change in everyday action. The state of Hawaii is considered one of the world’s leaders for improving sustainability, and the state has recently passed an initiative to become 100 percent clean by 2045.

In efforts to continue keeping our environment free of pollutants and debris year-round, Storm Water Hawaii’s Adopt-A-Highway program encourages local community members to do their part in keeping our state highways trash-free. Clean up your act and start volunteering!

This year, our Storm Water team visited the following schools to share information about Oahu’s storm drains and tips on how to prevent storm water pollution.
