Across the nation, millions of people will be joining forces this October to celebrate “Make A Difference Month.” There’s no better time than the present to begin making steps to improve our island-home by implementing the following trash-free practices.

Congratulations to the Kaneohe Bay Base Fuels, HDOT Highways, Oahu District’s Third Quarter 2018 Adopt-A-Highway Champions! Their route is from Kaimalolo Place and Kamaka Place in Kaneohe.

As the 2017 – 2018 school year comes to a close, we say “Mahalo” to all the students and teachers who participated in our school presentations! This year, our Storm Water team visited the following schools to share information about Oahu’s storm drains and tips on how to prevent storm water pollution.

Congratulations to the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF 1st Class Association, HDOT Highways, Oahu District’s Second Quarter 2018 Adopt-A-Highway Champions! Their route is from Kamehameha Highway (from the H1 underpass) to Honomanu Street.

Congratulations to Tenrikyo Mission Headquarters of Hawaii, HDOT Highways, Oahu District’s First Quarter 2018 Adopt-A-Highway Champions! Their route is along Vineyard Boulevard to Country Club Road in Nu’uanu.

Congratulations to the Rotary Club of Kapolei Sunset for being HDOT Highways, Oahu District’s Fourth Quarter 2017 Adopt-A-Highway Champions! Their route is along Farrington Highway from Kalaeloa Blvd. overpass in Kapolei to the Koʻolina exit, totaling approximately 1.5 miles.

Congratulations to Samahang Ilocano International, DOT-HWYS Third Quarter 2017 Adopt-A-Highway Champions! Their two routes are along Farrington Highway from Kapakahi Stream Bridge to Waiawa Interchange (H-1), and Kalihi Street/Likelike Highway.
